If The Scrap Fits

That unfortunately does not seem to be something that we are going to have here in Calgary today.  It's still a bit cloudy and cool today.  The last vestiges of winter are still lingering around.  I wish they would just go already. Today's challenge at Use it Tuesday is All About Spring.  It's time to break out the flowers, the bright colors, the sunshine, all the good stuff.  As always you need to use up some of your stash so make sure you let us know in your post what you used. I finally have used up all of the Lil Sprout collection by Crate Paper so here is my final project.  The stamp set is one from my stash that I don't use enough by My Favorite Things.  It comes with its own sentiment as well.  I just used my spellbinders and inked it up with some Tim Holtz ink.  The bling is from my stash as well. It's Friday! Oh thank heaven! It has been what seems like a long week for me.  I've not been able to get into my craft space much this week with work being so busy. I do however, have a new card for you for our challenge this week at Creative Corner Challenges.   My theme this week is layers.  The more the better, but at least 2 layers are needed to qualify for this week's mystery prize.  I'm not announcing it until I pick the winner next week but it's a good one. Happy Tuesday.  We have a new challenge at Use It Tuesday for you this week.   With the theme of punch out we would like you to use your punches and/or dies. I have a layout for you this week.  It's actually a re-purposed one.  I had done it a few years ago and then decided I didn't like it.  So I redid it for this challenge.  I used a punch to make the film strip for the pictures.  The stickers were from the original layout as well.  I am not sure who the paper is by as it is from my stash. It's all about the green this week at Creative Corner Challenges .  It's my month to host and with St. Patrick's Day coming up my challenge this week is Go Green.  You have to have something green on your project.  An easy challenge to be sure, so I hope many people sign up.  I'm even offering a little prize this week. Here's my card for this week's challenge.   Surprisingly, with St. Pat's being one of my favorite holidays (purely for the green factor) I don't have a lot of St. Pat's stuff.  I had green paper but nothing to go with it.  I printed off this image from Bugaboo Stamps as it was offered as a freebie although now I think it is for purchase in the store, thank goodness and the shamrock i cut out using my Cricut.  This is a really simple and flat card because it's doing double duty.  Not only is it for this challenge but I need to mail it out for a St. Patrick's day swap on Swap-bot.com.  The paper was all from my stash ...

Have I mentioned how much I hate doing income tax???Argh! It's driving me crazy. Anyway, Red Carpet Studios has a new challenge on their blog that I have been meaning to get to and so here's a layout I created. The challenge is based on the movie The Curious Case of Benjamin Button and so the challenge is to use one or more buttons on your project.  Surprisingly, I have not seen this movie yet...should probably check it out on Netflix. Here is a layout using my favorite subject of course.  Taken a year or so ago, just playing in the backyard, looking at everything, ever inquisitive.
