Green Birdie

Image
Hey there all! It's a bit early but I have a St. Patrick's Day card for you.  It's for our Clean and Simple Challenge over at Cardz4Guyz for you! I decided to break out my Tim Holtz Crazy Birds stamps and dies along with their little accessories.  I haven't used this set in practically forever! I colored him with my copics and then cut him out using the co-ordinating dies.  I did a squiggly, hand drawn border and then for embellishments, just a titch of washi, a shamrock and some enamel dots.  The sentiment is from Hero Arts. Come play along with us on the blog and show us your CAS!

Some Bunny Loves You

Heading into the final days of February everyone if you can believe it.  Such a short month to go by so quickly. Come on over to the Southern Girls Challenge blog where our "GIRL POWER" challenge is up and ready to go! Our awesome sponsors are Krafter's Cart and Oddball Art Stamps  I was in the mood for Easter folks, so that's what I made for this challenge... I'm using the Big Eye Girl Chibi Bunni digital for this one.   I am slowly getting through my Easter/Spring paper from Echo Park and I'll be able to buy some new ones...woohooo.  I added the paper with some Lawn Fawn of course as they just go so well together.  I colored her with my copics and added a bit of Wink of Stella to her hair and her ears.  I broke out the brads for this one, just because I hadn't used them in forever and actually found a cute little pink bunny one that went perfect with this. Don't forget to play along on the blog with us and show us your gir

Feeling Blue PIO #151

Image
Hey there everyone!  Now remember that card I posted the other day ...the double pocket card.  I have another one for you! I made one for this week's challenge at Pile It On,  which is themed Feeling Blue (we would like to see blue as your primary focal color). We are sponsored this week by All Dressed Up I had a lot of fun putting the pieces together for this and realized that I didn't have as much masculine stuff as I thought I did - shocking! The DP is from Graphic 45s A Proper Gentleman Collection (think 2009!)  Then I just started adding things from my stash...the bicycle die cut, the jar clip and the celebrate are some of the last pieces from last month's SCT sampler.  Then there were some gear die cuts that I have had forever that I got in a swap. I added a few stickers and blig in blue as well to finish it off.  The dapper gent images I believe are from Authentique. This is a really fun fold card to do, and really easy.  I hope you like it!

A NEW DT!

So some news for you...I'm really excited to be on the   Christmas at Sweet Stampin  Design Team.  I love making Christmas cards and so it's going to be great to inspire you with them each month. Our challenges are anything goes, so this is a great way to challenge yourself to get a head start on your Christmas cards for the year! Here is my first card! Now we all know that I am trying to use up some of my older stock which is exactly what I've done here....I'm working with Simple Stories and Pink Paislee for my DP and my die cuts.  I fussy cut the snowmen out of a 3x4 card and used it as my focal point.  I've got tonz of those doilies so I'm trying to incorporate them into my projects as well.  A few orange Nuevo dots for a pop of color and voila!  One down! Stop by the blog to see the rest of the DT projects and to play along.  I look forward to stopping by your blog!

Wild Thing C4G #213

Hiya everyone!  I'm here with this week's Cardz4Guyz challenge!  Our theme, chosen by Sue, is Wild Animals!  What a great idea!  No doubt you all have some fun wild animal stamps or even layouts/projects about them or a trip to the zoo maybe?  Lots of choices. For me, I was cleaning out my stamps bucket and came across this Paper Smooches one that I hadn't used in awhile.  It's the Chubby Chums and the matching dies!  (check them out in the store here ) I have had these papers in my stash for awhile and used some of them for a previous project but I still  managed to squeeze out another card!  I hope you like it and don't forget to play along with us this week!  I can't wait to see what you create! DP - Simple Stories & Crate Paper Hearts - Recollections Enamel dots - Carta Bella Markers: copics

YOTS February 2018

Image
Hello peeps!  So here's my February 2018 sampler projects.  Looks like I had started working with some of the pieces last year then stopped, so when I opened it up, the kit wasn't full.  I don't have a full picture for you, but this is the one from Scrapbook & Cards Today that shows what we received  Lots of fun pieces and of course one of my fave companies - Doodlebug! I didn't use up every last piece, I still have a few of the die cuts left from DB and 1 Canoe 2 as well as the vellum sheet from DB and the one from American Crafts...I don't use a lot of vellum so I need to figure out how to incorporate that!  My first project is actually a layout using the   1 Canoe 2   I've not used their product before but I found it quite pretty.   I wanted to challenge myself to use it on a more masculine layout and I think it went pretty good!..it's quite easy to incorporate these pieces into your layouts as well as for cards or tags! The DP and the bigger w

YOTS - January

Hello friends! I'm back with the second part of my Year of the Sampler  for January using the January 2019 Sampler from Scrapbook & Cards Today.  I know it's February, but things got busy and I didn't get a chance to post! So these are using the few items that we received from the Webster's Pages Love is in the Air collection. I ended up with a couple of cards and a couple of ATCs(as I had a swap due! :) ) So for this one, I fussy cut the flowers on the Sweet Fragrance sheet to use as my focal point.  I then added a sentiment from Stampin up and a few enamel dots.  I went over the flowers with a bit of Wink of Stella  For this one, I made it a 4x4 card for something different.  Using the same paper from the other card, I stamped the sentiment also from Stampin Up.  I added a butterfly and some little springs also from Stampin Up and then a little circle tag that was just in my stash.  A couple of blingy stars to finish it off.  For the ATCs I just used up w

Pretty in Pink PIO #151

Welcome Welcome.  So today's project is a bit out of my comfort zone, only in that I'm not a huge fan of the color, so I don't work with it a lot.  Luckily though, it's February and Valentine's, which is probably the only time that I bring it out. Our challenge is Pretty In Pink (one of my all time favorite movies BTW) on the Pile It On blog today.  Our sponsor is the lovely All Dressed Up I'm using the Sightseeing In Paris digi for this one because I think it was perfect for this challenge and because I have a soft spot for " gay Paree" :) DP: Pebbles & American Crafts Embellishments: Letter Stickers (Gossamer Blue), Stars: unknown, Die Cut: unknown Coloring: Copics Dies: Tim Holtz Punches: Martha Stewart

Sing Me a Song

Happy February everyone!  It's here!  I'm always excited as my birthday is on the 11th :) Pop on over to Christmas Crafts All Year Long and see what this month's challenge has inspired the Design team to create. Our theme is Carols/Songs. Here's mine, inspired by O Christmas Tree and God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen    This is from a Stampin Up kit that I found on one of my shelves. (Sorry, the name escapes me)  I didn't have the actual stamps that went with the kit so that one is from my stash, and I added the twine and the Nuevo dots.  It's fairly clean and simple for me, and quite easy as well with all the pieces needed right there in the kit! I hope you like it and look forward to seeing what you create as you play along with us!
