Relax

Can you believe it is already the last day of July!  The summer is already half over :(  Summertime is my favorite time to just relax..and hey, guess what...that's our new challenge theme over at Cardz4Guyz!  Show us what relaxing means to you!  Is it hanging out in a chair on the beach, fishing, camping, or maybe yoga....let's see what you come up with.

I had zero stamps that I could use for this challenge, so I decided to use my Cricut Explore Air instead.  I found an image that I really liked from the Fun in the Sun cartridge, that I cut out.  I added some fun paper from my Lakeside 6x6 paper pack from Pebbles (it's an oldie - 2012!).  The sentiment I found online and just printed it out on some colored cardstock.  It says Take Time to Relax and enjoy the good life.
It's a little hard to see here but I added some glossy accents to his shirt and to the glass and umbrella just for a bit of added texture.

Vintage Tag for St. Pattys (Challenge Masters DT)

Hey there...so my last tag challenge as the Tag Diva for Challenge Masters, is to create a green tag..it can be any subject as long as it is mainly green...you can check out all the deets here by the way... So this is the one I created. I colored my tag using Pine Needles, Shabby Shutters and Peeled Paint Distress Inks with a little Vintage Photo thrown in. I had printed off a vintage pic from the internet because I really don't have a lot of St. Patrick's Day images. I used the vintage photo on it as well and then the rest of the tag was just made using some bits and bobs from my stash. The DP is some BG I've been using for other projects..The flower I inked up a bit to blend it with the tag and same with the lacy ribbon on the bottom (it was originally beige). St. Patrick's Day

It's all about the green this week at Creative Corner Challenges .  It's my month to host and with St. Patrick's Day coming up my challenge this week is Go Green.  You have to have something green on your project.  An easy challenge to be sure, so I hope many people sign up.  I'm even offering a little prize this week. Here's my card for this week's challenge.   Surprisingly, with St. Pat's being one of my favorite holidays (purely for the green factor) I don't have a lot of St. Pat's stuff.  I had green paper but nothing to go with it.  I printed off this image from Bugaboo Stamps as it was offered as a freebie although now I think it is for purchase in the store, thank goodness and the shamrock i cut out using my Cricut.  This is a really simple and flat card because it's doing double duty.  Not only is it for this challenge but I need to mail it out for a St. Patrick's day swap on Swap-bot.com.  The paper was all from my stash ...

A Fairy Hello

Hello! I hope that you moms out there had a lovely Mother's Day yesterday.  There is nothing I am more proud of than being a mom to my little Riley.  I can't believe he'll be 2 in July!  Time does fly. Today is a new challenge on the Lollipop Crafts blog. We are being sponsored by Soft Pencil this week and here is the link to their site and you can check out all the great digital images & all that Elizabeth has to offer.  Our challenge this week is a fancy folds one...so we'd like to see creations with more than one fold on them.  Here is mine for this week. The image is from SoftPencil's Tinytwinies which the DT got to play with.  So cute. This is the Charming Flowers image. How adorable is this!  I colored her using my Copics.
