If The Scrap Fits

Hello peeps!  So here's my February 2018 sampler projects.  Looks like I had started working with some of the pieces last year then stopped, so when I opened it up, the kit wasn't full.  I don't have a full picture for you, but this is the one from Scrapbook & Cards Today that shows what we received  Lots of fun pieces and of course one of my fave companies - Doodlebug! I didn't use up every last piece, I still have a few of the die cuts left from DB and 1 Canoe 2 as well as the vellum sheet from DB and the one from American Crafts...I don't use a lot of vellum so I need to figure out how to incorporate that!  My first project is actually a layout using the   1 Canoe 2   I've not used their product before but I found it quite pretty.   I wanted to challenge myself to use it on a more masculine layout and I think it went pretty good!..it's quite easy to incorporate these pieces into your layouts as well as for cards or tags! Happy Friday! So happy it's the weekend, even if I don't really have anything planned. Yikes...it has been a long time since I have posted on here.  I've mostly been using my other blog on wordpress but I am going to try to keep this one updated as well so bare with me.  If you are interested in any previous posts, check out http://tampatha.wordpress.com which is the other blog. Inspired by a post I saw on a blog today (I'll try and find the post for you later because it was a great idea for cards), I created this card for the challenge at Red Carpet Studios this week. Inspired by The Wedding Singer (A movie I myself have not yet seen, hard to believe I know, considering how much of a movie whore I am, but I am not a fan of Adam Sandler), the challenge is to create a wedding or anniversary card. It's a new challenge over at CCH and this week it's all about the shaped cards!  We would like to see some fun and unique shapes, anything that isn't your typical square/rectangle traditional.  Our sponsor this week is the Digi Doodle Shop and they have some fabulous images, some of which we got to play with.  Here's my card for this week The shape was cut out using one of my cricut cartridges ( A Child's Year I believe, very versatile).  I punched the butterflies using one of my cuttlebug dies and added a few bits of bling to liven them up.  The image was colored with my copics and the DP was just from my stash.  I have been introduced to flocking! Welcome to Monday! It's challenge day at The Crazy Challenge and this week, we're looking for all the lovely ladies out there!  I must be on a vintage kick, which for me is surprising, because I never really thought of myself as the vintage type..anyway, here is my card. The image is downloaded from the internet (I really wish I had a stash of vintage images from a book or something). The music sheet is left over from a Tim Holtz Christmas Tag..it was printed out onto vellum and then inked and distressed to give it a vintagy feel.  The bling, pearl strand, ribbons and flowers are all from my stash.
