If The Scrap Fits

Hey everyone!  I'm up with this week's challenge at the Cardz4Guyz blog today.  My theme is to use a die cut on your project..pretty easy right!  For my card, I used this really fun fold that came into my email from Debbie Naylor who has a great Stampin Up blog www.UnfrogettableStamping.com   .  She sent us this great tutorial on how to make a U-Fold card!  I really thought this was fun so I gave it a try !  I used some Stampin Up with this card but you can totally use whatever product you have in your stash! Now I'm just showing you the front of my card, but if you check out her original tutorial from Feb 14, 2019 you will see just how fun this fold is!  This is super easy thanks to her step by step instructions!  Try it, you will be making tonz of these   Now for my card, I used some scrap paper and an old stamp that I had for the sentiment.  I used a combination of my CC Designs die to cut out the oval in the centr...

Happy weekend all!  It's a long weekend here in Canada, but unfortunately, I have to work so no camping for me. BOO!  I have been hard at work clearing off my scrap space as I am preparing to make a schwack of cards for Ronald McDonald House in BC as part of a group in Splitcoaststampers.  Anyway..I've had this pile of scraps and bits and bobs on my desk FOREVER because I didn't want to throw them out until I tried to use them up a bit. I wanted to share with you a few of the card I made with the scraps & die cuts and some inspiration from Pinterest. February is the month of love.  We celebrate love in all its forms and shapes.....one of those is the love a mother has for her child! I had wanted to have a child for a long time, so when I found out that I was pregnant with my son, my heart began to overflow with love...before he was even born!  I didn't even know I could love someone so much that I had never met! This week at Use Your Stuff , we are being inspired by a love song!  The love song that I chose was called Baby Mine by Bette Midler from the Beaches Soundtrack - one of my all time favorite movies!  In the movie, that song is playing as one of the main characters is getting ready for the birth of her baby and they are decorating the nursery...I new I wanted to use it for the inspiration for my layout. Hi Everyone! Another quick post today for our challenge at Creative Corner Challenges. It's been so busy with work and my son ill again (an infection in his finger this time and some visits to the doctor and chiropracter to help with a gait issue) that it's amazing I've had time to craft this week! Our challenge is Clean and Simple also known as CAS.  This is a challenge to use less and less embellishments and papers on your project.  The least amount the better.  This is always a challenge for me because I love to embellish.  However, I am thrilled with how this card turned out.  I used a sketch in the March/April issue of Papercrafts magazine  and its just a fabulous one. I just used a couple of scraps of paper in my basket and the butterflies were sent to me in a swap.  They were regular corrugated cardboard and I misted them with my smooch spritzes!  The pearls are from my stash and the sentiment is K Andrew Designs I...

It's a new challenge over at CCH and this week it's all about the shaped cards!  We would like to see some fun and unique shapes, anything that isn't your typical square/rectangle traditional.  Our sponsor this week is the Digi Doodle Shop and they have some fabulous images, some of which we got to play with.  Here's my card for this week The shape was cut out using one of my cricut cartridges ( A Child's Year I believe, very versatile).  I punched the butterflies using one of my cuttlebug dies and added a few bits of bling to liven them up.  The image was colored with my copics and the DP was just from my stash.  I have been introduced to flocking!
