Flowers for You

Image
Hello everyone!  Sorry I’ve not been on much, lots going on behind the scenes in my house that I’ve had to deal with. Today is a new challenge on the  Color Crazy Challenge Blog  on which I am pleased to be a guest designer. Our challenge this week is sponsored by Creatful Heart Stamps I used the poppy digi stamp for my card this week, but I really wanted to play around with colors so I added some blue to the red (yes in my world poppies are blue!).  I just used some DP that I’ve had in my stash, little bits and pieces that I’ve received from swaps.  I’ve added some Wink of Stella to give a bit of sparkle to the flowers and then some Nuvo drops.  The sentiment is from Your Next Stamp. I hope you like it and feel free to play along.  Don’t forget to stop by the blog and see what the rest of the DT has created for you!

Box it, Gift it

Hey there.  It's another new challenge on Lollipop Crafts this week and we are looking for your boxes or gifts. Okay..this is not something I normally make but I did have a good time doing it.  A big thank you to Angie Kennedy Juda aka Chicnsratch on Youtube for her tutorial as that's what I used for my project this week. You can check it out here ..very simple and easy to do! Thanks Angie!  Her blog is here You can check out the DT projects here as well as the details for this week's challenge. Our sponsor this week is Meljean's Designs .. Oh I love her stuff.  I just used some orange cardstock I had and stamped it with the stars of my Stampin Up basic backgrounds stamp.  The image was colored with copics and then chalked.  It was then put on a border cut from my spell binders and the die cut stars were from a swap I did on Club CK.  The stamped sentiment is from my Stampendous sentiments set.  I hope you enjoy this and look forward...

It's a Lacy Thing

Image
Good morning everyone!  It's challenge day at Lollipop Crafts and this week it's all about the lace!  Such a pretty dainty thing and we'd like to see what you can do with it on your projects.  It can be actual lace, lace punches, lacy borders whatever you can come up with.  All of the deets can be found on our challenge blog so please stop by and enter.  I can't wait to see what you create and the design team as well as our two guest designers this month have created some gorgeous projects for you! So here is my dainty little piece. I have no idea why I decided to do a Christmas card.  I think it's because I had that embossed piece of cardstock and really wanted to use it up.  I had seen an all white card in a magazine I picked up recently and loved the look of it so I knew I wanted to try that as well.  So this is what I came up with.  The cardstock is embossed with a cuttlebug folder.  The lace is actually cut off from a big ...

A Floral Thank You with Sarah Hurley

So today's marks my debut as part of the Sarah Hurley DT.  Our theme this week is Flowers... Without further adieu here is mine... (shout out to Lori Padberg .  It was one of her creations that inspired mine.  I loved the simple look of it) I used some digital paper & sentiment from Sarah's line which can be found here . The flower is from my stash and I just inked it up a bit with some red ink.  I did some die cutting as well for the flowers and used the spellbinders to showcase the flower.  And of course some embossing using the fleur de lis embossing folder from Cuttlebug.  A really simple card but I quite like it.  Make sure you stop by the Sarah Hurley challenge blog to get your own flower entries in!  We can't wait to see them! I've entered into the following challenges: Anything Goes Challenge Blog : diecuts Creative Craft Challenge: thank you Desert Island Crafters: use 3 items from the itinerary ( 2PP, distressing, insp...
