If The Scrap Fits

Is it Tuesday already?  Have you been to the  Tuesday Morning Sketches blog y et?  Our new sketch is there…. I didn’t want to do a flower for my card, and that’s the great thing about a sketch..you can interpret it the way that you want that fits your style.  I’ve had this Doodlebug Doodlepop sitting on my desk forever and I finally wanted to use it! So I pulled out some random coffee papers from my stash…i think there is mostly Echo Park and some Stampin Up in there.  I added the doodlepops and then the sentiment is from  Ink Road Stamps Head on over to the  blog  and see what the other DT have created.  Don’t forget to leave them some love! We are at the halfway point in our Pile it On challenge of Orange/Black/Purple.  In case you forgot, we are being sponsored by Ike's Art this month. For this week's card I went with a bit of a fun Halloween card using the colors.  The image is from Miss Kate Cuttables and I flattened it in my cricut explore and then cut it out.  The sentiment was a free one that I got online from LoveSVGonline.com  They have sooo many free images that you can use, it's crazy! I added a bit of glossy accents and some wink of stella, just to give it some sparkle and shine.  I also thought it would be fun with some enamel dots.  The DP is just from my stash.  I hope you think it's fun and don't forget to play along with us! Hello one and all! I have a new layout for you today to go along with our new challenge up at Use Your Stuff!   This week's theme is border punches!  I've not been using mine regularly so it was nice to pull them out and play a bit. My layout today is also the March Scrapbook & Cards Today 365 2018   class.  I must say, now that I have committed to doing these classes, I have been finding my love for scrapbooking again, and it's a nice change from doing cards all the time.    For this layout I pulled out a kit that I had created several months ago for a crop and just never got around to using.  The papers are from Everyday Circus by Fancy Pants, as well as some Simple Stories and Heidi Swapp mixed in.  My border punch is EK Success (and I had to practically blow the dust off of it!.) Hello all! I am hosting this week's challenge at  Use Your Stuff  and we are playing BINGO!  I've created a fun bingo card to use on your project (a great way to get the MOJO going as well if you are stuck!).  Here's the card , there are lots of fun items to play with.  Here is the card I created using the horizontal line of red, die cuts/cut aparts, hearts and doily The DP is from American Crafts XOXO collection. It's a new challenge day at Red Carpet Studio and I am hosting this week~  My Challenge is based on a movie that I love In this 1964 beloved musical, pompous phonetics professor Henry Higgins (Rex Harrison) is so sure of his abilities that he takes it upon himself to transform a Cockney working-class girl into someone who can pass for a cultured member of high society. His subject turns out to be the lovely Eliza Doolittle (Audrey Hepburn), who agrees to speech lessons to improve her job prospects. Hi Everyone! Another quick post today for our challenge at Creative Corner Challenges. It's been so busy with work and my son ill again (an infection in his finger this time and some visits to the doctor and chiropracter to help with a gait issue) that it's amazing I've had time to craft this week! Our challenge is Clean and Simple also known as CAS.  This is a challenge to use less and less embellishments and papers on your project.  The least amount the better.  This is always a challenge for me because I love to embellish.  However, I am thrilled with how this card turned out.  I used a sketch in the March/April issue of Papercrafts magazine  and its just a fabulous one. I just used a couple of scraps of paper in my basket and the butterflies were sent to me in a swap.  They were regular corrugated cardboard and I misted them with my smooch spritzes!  The pearls are from my stash and the sentiment is K Andrew Designs I...

Happy Friday everyone! The ending of another week..woohooo!!  We have a new challenge at Creative Corner Challenges .  It's all about Rainbows.  You can have an actual rainbow, rainbow colors or however you wish to interpret it as long as we can see how the rainbow is represented in your project. Here's the fun card I made this week. Hello all! Welcome to Monday here on my blog. It's been awhile since I've posted here on blogger as I usually do everything on my wordpress, but I really need to start using both of them! Here is my card for this challenge I finally broke open my Echo Park Summer days  6x6 paper pack  for this I just love the patterns and colors.  They really do scream summer! I colored the image using my copics, added some ribbon from my stash and  buttons and baker's twine (from Whisker Graphics) .  The thickers were white but I just colored them with my ink pad to fit better for the card.  I hope you like it! It's a new challenge at Sarah Hurley this week.  Thanks to all of our participants for last week's summer challenge.  Great job to everyone and the winners are posted on the blog.  This week, Ria has given us the challenge of adding handmade flowers to our projects.  A great challenge to be sure. I have used the DP and image from Sarah's new Oz collection which can be found here .  This collection is adorable!  I printed out the clip art version of Glinda rather than doing my own coloring this time.   I cut her out and added some stickles to her wings for a bit of sparkle.  I made my flowers using ribbon rather than paper for this challenge.  I really liked how they turned out and I just added a little pearl to the centre of each one.  I used my new MS punch that I picked up yesterday to add a bit of border to my card.  The sentiment came as part of a swap.  Enjoy and I look forward to seeing your projects this week....

Good morning all..it's Monday so another new challenge over at Lollipop Crafts .  Our great sponsorthis week is Just Some Lines and they gave us some images to work with.  We're doing a non square/rectangle card/project this week...so if you have one that has a shape to it, make sure you enter it into our challenge on the blog. Here is mine this week I cut the shape out using my A Child's Year cartridge on my cricut.  That cart is great for cutting out shapes.  For something different, I had tried coloring the images using my chalks and my blender pen...It didn't work out quite the way I wanted it to, other than in the hair, so I went over the images with my glitter and stickles instead because the shine matched the bit of glitter in the DP I used.  To finish it off, I just used some buttons and flowers in my stash, a die cut butterfly that was white and inked green and then a few pearls.  The stamped sentiment is just from an old set I have and use qui...

It's a new challenge at Sarah Hurley this week, and we are excited because we are lucky enough to be sponsored by Handy Hippo! So today Sarah Hurley is releasing a new set of digi stamps...and it's all about the Pirates! These stamps are colored and plain for those that like to feel like a kid again and color your own. So the Design Team was asked to come up with some projects highlighting the new line (which by the way you can find here ). Now normally, I'm not really the type of person to create something digitally and then just print it off. I usually like to get my hands dirty, so I thought I would blend the two. I took some of the images and put a scene together that I would then make into an invitation. All the images on this are found in the new collection. I then printed it out onto some Kraft cardstock and then just proceeded to distress it...I ripped first then went over it with the distressing tool, and then I inked it with my ever loving Tim Holtz distress inks in Old Paper and Walnut Stain.
