If The Scrap Fits

Hey everyone!  I'm up with this week's challenge at the Cardz4Guyz blog today.  My theme is to use a die cut on your project..pretty easy right!  For my card, I used this really fun fold that came into my email from Debbie Naylor who has a great Stampin Up blog www.UnfrogettableStamping.com   .  She sent us this great tutorial on how to make a U-Fold card!  I really thought this was fun so I gave it a try !  I used some Stampin Up with this card but you can totally use whatever product you have in your stash! Now I'm just showing you the front of my card, but if you check out her original tutorial from Feb 14, 2019 you will see just how fun this fold is!  This is super easy thanks to her step by step instructions!  Try it, you will be making tonz of these   Now for my card, I used some scrap paper and an old stamp that I had for the sentiment.  I used a combination of my CC Designs die to cut out the oval in the centr...

Happy February everyone!  It's here!  I'm always excited as my birthday is on the 11th :) Pop on over to Christmas Crafts All Year Long and see what this month's challenge has inspired the Design team to create. Our theme is Carols/Songs. Here's mine, inspired by O Christmas Tree and God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen    This is from a Stampin Up kit that I found on one of my shelves. (Sorry, the name escapes me)  I didn't have the actual stamps that went with the kit so that one is from my stash, and I added the twine and the Nuevo dots.  It's fairly clean and simple for me, and quite easy as well with all the pieces needed right there in the kit! I hope you like it and look forward to seeing what you create as you play along with us!

It is our first challenge of the new year at Use Your Stuff and I went old school for this one.  The challenge was to use tags on your project and I found some bits and pieces in my stash...die cuts, scraps, transparencies and decided to go with this layout. I don't often do double page layouts, but one of my challenges for this year is to use up my stash and a double layout will definitely help me do that!   It just has some simple stamping and inking.  I haven't found pictures to put into it yet....it feels vintage to me, so I need to find some of my old pics and see what I can pop in there. I have another card for you! I know 2 in one day! Whew!   Tuesday Morning Sketches is another place I love to draw inspiration from and they have a great sketch for this week. I am still playing with the mounds of product hanging out on my desk so I created another card using the Jovial line from Basic Grey.  I also had an old Tim Holtz stamp that I haven't used in awhile that went well with the DP I used for this card. I've got a lot of those little doilies on my desk so it was great to pull one out and it went great with this line.  I love the teal!  I used the new Mermaid Lagoon ink for the stamp as well as the Expresso.  Some little brads to finish it off.  I am happy to say as well that I finally used up the entire Jovial card kit that I had...success!!! :) Please stop by Tuesday morning sketches to play along!

Happy Friday everyone! The ending of another week..woohooo!!  We have a new challenge at Creative Corner Challenges .  It's all about Rainbows.  You can have an actual rainbow, rainbow colors or however you wish to interpret it as long as we can see how the rainbow is represented in your project. Here's the fun card I made this week. I used a big background stamp for the image and stamped each line in a different color of the rainbow.  The ribbon is American Crafts and the sentiment is just from my stash.  A really simple yet (I think) pretty card. Have I mentioned how much I hate doing income tax???Argh! It's driving me crazy. Anyway, Red Carpet Studios has a new challenge on their blog that I have been meaning to get to and so here's a layout I created. The challenge is based on the movie The Curious Case of Benjamin Button and so the challenge is to use one or more buttons on your project.  Surprisingly, I have not seen this movie yet...should probably check it out on Netflix. Here is a layout using my favorite subject of course.  Taken a year or so ago, just playing in the backyard, looking at everything, ever inquisitive. I hope you like it.  Everything is from my stash.  I cannot remember the name of the DP set I used for this one.  I just remember it had the name garden in the title.  That's how long it has been in my stash. Good morning all..it's Monday so another new challenge over at Lollipop Crafts .  Our great sponsorthis week is Just Some Lines and they gave us some images to work with.  We're doing a non square/rectangle card/project this week...so if you have one that has a shape to it, make sure you enter it into our challenge on the blog. Here is mine this week I cut the shape out using my A Child's Year cartridge on my cricut.  That cart is great for cutting out shapes.  For something different, I had tried coloring the images using my chalks and my blender pen...It didn't work out quite the way I wanted it to, other than in the hair, so I went over the images with my glitter and stickles instead because the shine matched the bit of glitter in the DP I used.  To finish it off, I just used some buttons and flowers in my stash, a die cut butterfly that was white and inked green and then a few pearls.  The stamped sentiment is just from an old set I have and use qui...
