Have you stopped by the Christmas Crafts All Year Round blog yet?  Our new monthly challenge is up.... Normally when you think of Christmas, you think cold and snow...this month, we want you to think WARM!  Use warm colors on your project ...reds, yellows, oranges. This was a bit of a tricky one for me.  I scoured all my Christmas stuff and I didn't really have anything in those warm colors. Then I happened upon some sheets for a Simple Stories album...since I don't do mini albums, I decided to cut the sheets I wanted to create my card instead.  One of those sheets was this really cool star die cut in a glitter cardstock...I thought this would make an awesome layer.  I did some fussy cutting on another sheet for the flowers and then I picked up a new die cut earlier this year, that I haven't used yet.  It's from Penny Black called "Joy to the World".  I wanted to add a bit of orange in there so I cut it out of orange glitter paper and added ...

Hello all! Welcome to Monday here on my blog. It's been awhile since I've posted here on blogger as I usually do everything on my wordpress, but I really need to start using both of them! LOL  It's a new challenge at Lollipop Crafts and this week is an Anything Goes challenge.  So it's just for fun and we get to highlight our top three on Sunday!  Let your creative juices run wild!  I know the DT has some wicked inspiration for you so don't forget to stop by the blog and leave them some love! Well here it is, my last week as a guest DT for Craft Your Passion .  A big thank you to CYP for having me. Here is my card for this week.  I loved this image from CocoDingo because I've had this Cinco De Mayo paper in my stash forever that I could finally use.  I added a little bit of jupe and a bit of ribbon and that's it for this one.  The stamped sentiment was from an old stamp I found in my stash.  The image was colored with my copics. It's a new challenge at Sarah Hurley this week.  Thanks to all of our participants for last week's summer challenge.  Great job to everyone and the winners are posted on the blog.  This week, Ria has given us the challenge of adding handmade flowers to our projects.  A great challenge to be sure. I have used the DP and image from Sarah's new Oz collection which can be found here .  This collection is adorable!  I printed out the clip art version of Glinda rather than doing my own coloring this time.   I cut her out and added some stickles to her wings for a bit of sparkle.  I made my flowers using ribbon rather than paper for this challenge.  I really liked how they turned out and I just added a little pearl to the centre of each one.  I used my new MS punch that I picked up yesterday to add a bit of border to my card.  The sentiment came as part of a swap.  Enjoy and I look forward to seeing your projects this week....

It's a new challenge at Sarah Hurley this week, and we are excited because we are lucky enough to be sponsored by Handy Hippo! I have no idea why I decided to do a Christmas card.  I think it's because I had that embossed piece of cardstock and really wanted to use it up.  I had seen an all white card in a magazine I picked up recently and loved the look of it so I knew I wanted to try that as well.  So this is what I came up with.  The cardstock is embossed with a cuttlebug folder.  The lace is actually cut off from a big ...

So today's marks my debut as part of the Sarah Hurley DT.  Our theme this week is Flowers... Without further adieu here is mine... Welcome to Monday! It's challenge day at The Crazy Challenge and this week, we're looking for all the lovely ladies out there!  I must be on a vintage kick, which for me is surprising, because I never really thought of myself as the vintage type..anyway, here is my card. The image is downloaded from the internet (I really wish I had a stash of vintage images from a book or something). The music sheet is left over from a Tim Holtz Christmas Tag..it was printed out onto vellum and then inked and distressed to give it a vintagy feel.  The bling, pearl strand, ribbons and flowers are all from my stash.
