If The Scrap Fits

Hello all.... Green is my favorite color so I love ST. Patrick's Day.  However, I don't have a lot of supplies for the day so I don't make a lot of cards. I did give it a shot with some old stuff I had in my holiday box.  The paper is from Reminisce and some Imagination Project from 2005.  I don't even think they are around anymore. The image is a freebie that I got from Miss Kate Cuttables called Happy Pot O Gold :)  I just did a flatten in my design space. The ribbon is just from Michaels and the stamp is from Stampin Up (Greatest Greetings) I created this for the Paper Play Sketches challenge this week.

Hi Everyone!  I'm back from my annual Cuba vacation, which was perfect of course! Amazing weather and lots of fun! Time to get busy creating again!   Our challenge this week at Use Your Stuff is to create a project using 3 different patterned papers.  It's for challenges like this that I love co-ordinating paper from manufactures, and when they are double sided- even better! As I was doing a monthly challenge on the Scrap Shotz site as well which was to use a themed paper for a non-themed project, I chose some Valentine's Day papers from My Mind's Eye. It's all about the green this week at Creative Corner Challenges .  It's my month to host and with St. Patrick's Day coming up my challenge this week is Go Green.  You have to have something green on your project.  An easy challenge to be sure, so I hope many people sign up.  I'm even offering a little prize this week. Here's my card for this week's challenge.   Surprisingly, with St. Pat's being one of my favorite holidays (purely for the green factor) I don't have a lot of St. Pat's stuff.  I had green paper but nothing to go with it.  I printed off this image from Bugaboo Stamps as it was offered as a freebie although now I think it is for purchase in the store, thank goodness and the shamrock i cut out using my Cricut.  This is a really simple and flat card because it's doing double duty.  Not only is it for this challenge but I need to mail it out for a St. Patrick's day swap on Swap-bot.com.  The paper was all from my stash ...

Happy Friday! So happy it's the weekend, even if I don't really have anything planned. Hello all! Welcome to Monday here on my blog. It's been awhile since I've posted here on blogger as I usually do everything on my wordpress, but I really need to start using both of them! It's a new challenge at Sarah Hurley this week.  Thanks to all of our participants for last week's summer challenge.  Great job to everyone and the winners are posted on the blog.  This week, Ria has given us the challenge of adding handmade flowers to our projects.  A great challenge to be sure. I have used the DP and image from Sarah's new Oz collection which can be found here .  This collection is adorable!  I printed out the clip art version of Glinda rather than doing my own coloring this time.   I cut her out and added some stickles to her wings for a bit of sparkle.  I made my flowers using ribbon rather than paper for this challenge.  I really liked how they turned out and I just added a little pearl to the centre of each one.  I used my new MS punch that I picked up yesterday to add a bit of border to my card.  The sentiment came as part of a swap.  Enjoy and I look forward to seeing your projects this week....

Good morning all..it's Monday so another new challenge over at Lollipop Crafts .  Our great sponsorthis week is Just Some Lines and they gave us some images to work with.  We're doing a non square/rectangle card/project this week...so if you have one that has a shape to it, make sure you enter it into our challenge on the blog. Here is mine this week I cut the shape out using my A Child's Year cartridge on my cricut.  That cart is great for cutting out shapes.  For something different, I had tried coloring the images using my chalks and my blender pen...It didn't work out quite the way I wanted it to, other than in the hair, so I went over the images with my glitter and stickles instead because the shine matched the bit of glitter in the DP I used.  To finish it off, I just used some buttons and flowers in my stash, a die cut butterfly that was white and inked green and then a few pearls.  The stamped sentiment is just from an old set I have and use qui...

The image is downloaded from the internet (I really wish I had a stash of vintage images from a book or something). Hey there...so my last tag challenge as the Tag Diva for Challenge Masters, is to create a green tag..it can be any subject as long as it is mainly green...you can check out all the deets here by the way... So this is the one I created. I colored my tag using Pine Needles, Shabby Shutters and Peeled Paint Distress Inks with a little Vintage Photo thrown in. I had printed off a vintage pic from the internet because I really don't have a lot of St. Patrick's Day images. I used the vintage photo on it as well and then the rest of the tag was just made using some bits and bobs from my stash. The DP is some BG I've been using for other projects..The flower I inked up a bit to blend it with the tag and same with the lacy ribbon on the bottom (it was originally beige).
