Irish Birthday

Image
Hi Everyone! Welcome to our first Pile it On challenge of March.  We are being sponsored by the lovely  The Paper Shelter Our theme this week is to create a project where your favorite color is the focus…for me, this is Green!  So I created this fun St. Patrick’s Day birthday card using the Paper Shelter  Giraffes On Holiday  (the St. Patrick’s Day image) I just used some random papers from my stash for this and a couple of different dies for the image and mat…I added some St. Patrick’s day ribbon and shamrock stickers.  The sentiment I printed out on my computer in a Celtic font which I thought went really great with this image! Come on over to the PIO blog and see what the rest of the DT has created for you! Entered into these challenges: Creative Knockouts : Lots of Layers ( I love layers, I’m really challenged with CAS cards) Water Cooler Wednesday:  All about Occasions (I’ve got birthday and St. Patrick’s Day)

The Wine

We are at the halfway point in our Pile it On challenge of Orange/Black/Purple.  In case you forgot, we are being sponsored by Ike's Art this month. For this week's card I went with a bit of a fun Halloween card using the colors.  The image is from Miss Kate Cuttables and I flattened it in my cricut explore and then cut it out.  The sentiment was a free one that I got online from LoveSVGonline.com  They have sooo many free images that you can use, it's crazy! I added a bit of glossy accents and some wink of stella, just to give it some sparkle and shine.  I also thought it would be fun with some enamel dots.  The DP is just from my stash.  I hope you think it's fun and don't forget to play along with us! Entered into these challenges: As You Like It: CAS or Fun & Fancy (and why) - I always struggle with CAS cards as I like to add lots of layers and bits and bobs..this is a bit on the simpler side and still (I think) a fun card without a...

As their guest DT for August!  I am very excited to be joining the Paper Crafting Journey team for a couple of challenges this month.  This week it is a photo inspiration challenge using this photo from the ceiling at the Bellagio (I have seen this..gorgeous).  All the details and a link to play can be found on their blog here The sponsor this week is Digital Delights by Louby Lou who is offering 3 images to the winner.  A great prize! Here is my card for this challenge I finally broke open my Echo Park Summer days  6x6 paper pack  for this I just love the patterns and colors.  They really do scream summer! I colored the image using my copics, added some ribbon from my stash and  buttons and baker's twine (from Whisker Graphics) .  The thickers were white but I just colored them with my ink pad to fit better for the card.  I hope you like it! Seeing Red with Craft Your Passion

Image
Well here it is, my last week as a guest DT for Craft Your Passion .  A big thank you to CYP for having me. It has been a great honor and I have enjoyed every minute of it.  This week, another great challenge for you.  We are SEEING RED!   We would love to see it with your projects as well, so make sure that somewhere on there, it can be in your DP, an embellishment, some coloring in an image, there is some RED! Make sure you stop by the blog for all the details and prize information! Here is my card for this week.  I loved this image from CocoDingo because I've had this Cinco De Mayo paper in my stash forever that I could finally use.  I added a little bit of jupe and a bit of ribbon and that's it for this one.  The stamped sentiment was from an old stamp I found in my stash.  The image was colored with my copics. I just wanted to keep it really simple! I have entered this card into the following challenges: Catered Crop : follow the recipe...

I'm so excited!

Image
I have been asked to be the guest designer for June at CRAFT YOUR PASSION!.  I want to thank them for this great opportunity and I am very excited to be joining them this month. So today is the first Monday of the month and that means that it is an anything goes challenge!   Who doesn't love those!  Create what you want and show it off.  All of the challenge details including prizes can be found here .   So for my first challenge with CYP, I am using a great image from Lauretta.  If you remember about a year or so back, I created a card with the saying 'a true friend tells you about the toilet paper stuck to your shoe'.  I really love this saying and I totally know that my BFF would not only tell me, she would probably try and pick it up herself..LOL  When I saw this image, that saying was the first thing that popped into my mind to put with it. I used some scraps of the Bo Bunny Gabrielle that I had left over from a layout that I di...

Bling It!

Image
It's challenge day at Lollipop Crafts. Sorry for the late post but I have a sick little boy.  :(  Our sponsor for this week's challenge is Digi's with Attitude! Oh they have such cute stuff! The theme Kris picked this week is to Bling it! You've got it and we want to see it. Anything that sparkles and shines, rhinestones, glitter, stickles, whatever! Any project will do, you don't have to just create a card, you can do an ATC, a 3D project, altered art ...it's limitless Here's my card for this week's challenge.  I have been working on some circle journals so I decided to use the scrap paper I had left over to create my challenges this week.  It was fun to see what I could come up with. The paper is an old Prima line that i have had forever.  I added some rhinestones and stickles from my stash to bling her up.  Colored of course with my copics! I've entered into the following challenges: Make it Monday: Anything goes Stamps R Us: Going...

Box it, Gift it

Image
Hey there.  It's another new challenge on Lollipop Crafts this week and we are looking for your boxes or gifts. Okay..this is not something I normally make but I did have a good time doing it.  A big thank you to Angie Kennedy Juda aka Chicnsratch on Youtube for her tutorial as that's what I used for my project this week. You can check it out here ..very simple and easy to do! Thanks Angie!  Her blog is here You can check out the DT projects here as well as the details for this week's challenge. Our sponsor this week is Meljean's Designs .. Oh I love her stuff.  I just used some orange cardstock I had and stamped it with the stars of my Stampin Up basic backgrounds stamp.  The image was colored with copics and then chalked.  It was then put on a border cut from my spell binders and the die cut stars were from a swap I did on Club CK.  The stamped sentiment is from my Stampendous sentiments set.  I hope you enjoy this and look forward...

A Lollipop Shape Challenge

Image
Good morning all..it's Monday so another new challenge over at Lollipop Crafts .  Our great sponsorthis week is Just Some Lines and they gave us some images to work with.  We're doing a non square/rectangle card/project this week...so if you have one that has a shape to it, make sure you enter it into our challenge on the blog. Here is mine this week I cut the shape out using my A Child's Year cartridge on my cricut.  That cart is great for cutting out shapes.  For something different, I had tried coloring the images using my chalks and my blender pen...It didn't work out quite the way I wanted it to, other than in the hair, so I went over the images with my glitter and stickles instead because the shine matched the bit of glitter in the DP I used.  To finish it off, I just used some buttons and flowers in my stash, a die cut butterfly that was white and inked green and then a few pearls.  The stamped sentiment is just from an old set I have and use qui...

ARRR Matey

Image
So today Sarah Hurley is releasing a new set of digi stamps...and it's all about the Pirates! These stamps are colored and plain for those that like to feel like a kid again and color your own. So the Design Team was asked to come up with some projects highlighting the new line (which by the way you can find here ). Now normally, I'm not really the type of person to create something digitally and then just print it off. I usually like to get my hands dirty, so I thought I would blend the two. I took some of the images and put a scene together that I would then make into an invitation. All the images on this are found in the new collection. I then printed it out onto some Kraft cardstock and then just proceeded to distress it...I ripped first then went over it with the distressing tool, and then I inked it with my ever loving Tim Holtz distress inks in Old Paper and Walnut Stain. I love how it turned out!! All the printing I did using a font on my computer. I hope you...
